HR service provider SD Worx has appointed TrustBuilder as its preferred partner for its Identity & Access Management (IAM). TrustBuilder Identity Hub, TrustBuilder’s flagship product, ensures that SD Worx’s clients have secure, transparent and user-friendly access to all applications, information and documents.

SD Worx is one of the European leaders in the digitization of HR services. Processes that used to be based very much on paper have been replaced by information exchange via apps connected to Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). To make this digital transformation possible, there is a need for a solid foundation for managing identity and access control.
Because SD Worx has enjoyed strong growth in recent years through acquisitions at home and abroad, the company now has a lot of applications and portals, each using their own protocols for IAM. That is why SD Worx was looking for a solution to provide users with easy access to these various applications and which could provide a translation of all protocols in the background. And that is exactly what TrustBuilder Identity Hub does at SD Worx: “TrustBuilder takes an identity from one source and transforms it into another standard or proprietary protocol,” says Wim Adam, Web System Engineer at SD Worx. “Such versatility is rare in the IAM world, where tools often focus on just one protocol and offer little flexibility to make adjustments themselves.”
SD Worx customers want their employees to be able to log in seamlessly to the SD Worx applications, for example via ‘Single Sign-On’ and ‘Federated Identity Management’. These techniques allow users to authenticate themselves once, and gain access to all other applications for which they have user privileges, without having to use usernames, passwords or other authentication mechanisms again.
TrustBuilder Identity Hub provides access to around 300 applications at SD Worx, not only for 4,000 SD Worx employees but, above all, for more than one million users at SD Worx customers today. SD Worx has many new projects in the pipe to offer its customers even more functionality, and TrustBuilder will play a key role in this as well. SD Worx is satisfied with the versatility of TrustBuilder Identity Hub, but also with the ease of implementation provided by its user-friendly graphical user interface. “With TrustBuilder we can really work on the future,” says Serge Van Kampen, Product Owner at SD Worx. “TrustBuilder listens carefully to us and builds new features into its product that help us stay ahead of the market”. SD Worx focuses primarily on customer experience, and therefore aims for passwordless access, without compromising security, of course.”
“It is a pleasure to work with a client such as SD Worx,” says Frank Hamerlinck, CEO of TrustBuilder. “They make use of many of the functionalities we offer. Because they are future-oriented, they also drive us to be as innovative as possible. That way, we create a true partnership. TrustBuilder ensures that SD Worx clients can combine ease of use and security. And thanks to our built-in connectors, SD Worx’s IT department can quickly link new applications”.
